Work vs Play

I recently began working very part-time while my little one is going to preschool. So three days a week I spend my morning with her and then I take her to school and work the entire time she is gone. It has been great to find something that fits into my schedule and doesn't take away from my family time.

I have been a stay-at-home mom for three years. I have always felt blessed to be able to be home with my kids, but I have not always appreciated it. Over the past month, I have learned to appreciate every moment I am home and not in the workplace. I am cherishing the days that we can be in our pj's until lunchtime. I am savoring the days we can play, eat lunch when we want and enjoy a slow day with no agenda.

Today I am joining Emily over at Chatting at the Sky for Tuesdays Unwrapped. Yesterday she wrote this statement in her post about Tuesdays Unwrapped "unwrap the small and sacred gifts of your Tuesday. May your perspective be such that it is hard for you to pick just one."

Do you take the time to notice your "small and sacred gifts"? What small things are you noticing today?

What a great post. I am noticing the small unexpected blessings of my imperfect life... God is constantly reminding me to be still and notice His goodness.

i balance work with being a sahm to 4 kidlets and it is a delicate balance isn't it? so glad to see you are thankful for the time at home, that you are focused on it and savoring it!

I work part time as well. The days I'm home with my little guy are precious and I TRY to make the most of every moment...can't say its always roses and perfection, but I am careful to show my thankfulness to the good Lord for the time he has created for me to be home. Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes it's really hard to remember that it can be wonderful to be at home with the kids :) Thanks for the reminder!
