Name Above Names Prayer

Prayer is an area that I have often struggled with. I have such good intentions, but as I go into my quiet time I am often distracted by my thoughts, my children or my to-do list.

I decided that since I am focusing on the Father this month that I would take some extra time to focus on praying specifically with the names of God in mind.

I realize it is already the 2nd of the month, but I have included 31 names and scriptures to pray God's name through any month.

Beautiful!

I also struggle with my wondering mind every time I search for peace and Him. It's a huge problem for me. I can't ever get into quiet as the voices in my head are so loud. Screaming at me that this and that and this need done and whoops you forgot to do this too. Add in the voices of the children, the music or TV, the dog barking and when he is home the husband stressing and it's all just SO much!

I really need to find more quiet. I need to find peace.

Such a great post! There's no better reminder to our hearts of why we believe what we believe than the truth of who the God we serve is! We've been doing a series on Christology at church. The study of who Jesus is. What an eye opening, heart changing few months. And one of my favorite studies is Kay Arthur's "Lord I Want to Know You". It talks in depth about His many names and how we find Him in them! Thanks for this reminder! I loved it!
