Last Friday night we sat on our front porch for the last time.
Next time we go to the house we will be handing the keys over to its new owners. I walked around this house we called home for four years. Thinking about the memories that we made in this place.
The countless hours I spent standing at this sink doing dishes. . .
Sisters sharing rooms. . .
Sharing many meals with our good friends around the table. . .
Goodbyes are never easy. But, it was time for us to go. This weekend we were reminded of why the moving vans were packed and our house is empty. It really comes down to one word. . .
FAMILY
Here are a few memories that we made as we celebrated the Fourth of July with our family. Two full days of family & fun. Lots of laughter. Tired kids and parents.
I am joining Emily at Chatting at the Sky for Tuesdays Unwrapped. Today I am unwrapping the amazing gift of family.

it must have been truly bittersweet to sit on the porch. the memories, the adventures to come. but family... it is the best thing in life! blessings as you say goodbye. and hello :)
Goodbyes are tough...but hellos are also sweet! I know God has big plans for you and your family Amy! Know that He has gone before you!
Family is worth it all. You are so right.
Family, fun and laughter... doesn't get much better than that! :) Love the pictures!
Saying good-bye is hard. But I am thankful for the memories that you will take with you when you go!
Okay I am almost crying and it isn't even my house. New move...new adventures...new lessons to learn! Glad you had a good 4th of July!!
