The Door Is Open, Please Come In

It is a beautiful summer evening in South Dakota.

Take a seat on my front steps and we can chat.

If this is your first time visiting Girlfriends Get Real, welcome. I hope you take the chance to stay for awhile.

This is a little glimpse into my journey.

For a long time I was trying to fit in to the world. I really wanted everyone to like me. But, somewhere in the midst of it all I lost myself.

Girlfriends Get Real is a place for me to find myself again. This is a place to be real. Life is too short to live a life pretending to be someone that you are not. None of us a perfect, no matter how hard we try.

Exciting changes are on the way here. Girlfriends Get Real is going to have a new home on Wordpress with a new design, new pages and a lot more places to stop by and be real. Some of us are moms, some of us are grammys, some of us are married, some of us are single, but one thing is true of all of us, we are Girlfriends getting real.

I would have loved to join all of the bloggers in New York City for Blogher this weekend, but I am holding off for Type-A-Mom in September and Relevant in October. So, I am joining Robin for Blog Hop '10. Thanks for stopping by!

What a great reason to have a blog... to find yourself again! How exciting to be moving over to Wordpress. I hear so many people doing that! :)

stopping by from the Blog Hop, I understand trying to find yourself it isn't an easy task. I am still lost on the journey too.

Hi Amy, just hopping by. I can't believe you live in SD. I was born there! Great to meet you and I'll be back!

Amy,

I love your blog philosophy! Isn't it exhausting trying to be someone we aren't? It seems our God is so much easier to please than us mere mortals!

I look forward to seeing your "new place" when it is ready! We at MSM are doing the same thing at the end of the month!

Have a wonderful weekend!
